شهر مسرى معناها ابن الشمس، لأنه مخصص لولادة الشمس، أو ما يسمى بالانقلاب الصيفي. أو لبرج الثور. أو للشمس في الأفقين المسماة عند القدماء هور ما خوتى الامثال: مسرى تجرى فيها كل ترعه عسره. ويقال عنب مسرى. .................................................. ......................
