منح دراسية في الولايات المتحدة للاجئين الفلسطينيين من سوريا .. ما حدا يحكي عني امبريالية وعميلة وبردعاوية من فضلكم.. بزعل والله :) Scholarships for the Palestinian Refugees from Syria HOPE FUND SCHOLARSHIPS For the Academic years (2013-2014) and (2014-2015) The Hope Fund Undergraduate Scholarship is designed to provide talented youth who possess leadership potential with an opportunity to pursue an undergraduate degree in the United States. This year the scholarship will target Palestinian refugees from Syria living below the poverty line throughout the Mideast, but especially in Lebanon and Jordan where the needs are most urgent. Since its inception in 2000, nearly 66 bright young men and women have begun their undergraduate studies in the United States with Hope Fund scholarships. Hope Fund scholarships will provide the followings: • Orientation • Travel arrangements to the US and full coverage of it’s related costs • Full tuition fee waiver for the study of a four-year Bachelors degree only • Full Annual stipend for books and other basic materials • Full Monthly living stipend Hope Fund Scholarships will not provide the followings: • Tuition fee for study fields: dentistry, pharmacy, and medicine The Student and their family must provide the following, after the preliminary acceptance by Hope Fund Scholarships: • English language courses/exams for scholarship candidates at AMIDEAST Jordan (TOEFL and SAT tests are part of this process) • Full coverage of costs related to applying for a US Visa The eligibility criteria: • Must be a Palestinian Refugee from Syria currently residing in Jordan; must be residing in Jordan throughout the entire candidacy process to be eligible; • Palestine refugees of Jordan who have been residing in Jordan prior to the Syrian conflict are ineligible for this year’s scholarships. • Priority will be given to socio-economically disadvantaged background students/families. • We are seeking students who have o Completed 11th grade with an average of 90% or above. o Or students who are just finishing the Tawjihi with scores above 80% in all subjects in the 1st semester of Tawjihi examination. • Acceptable average in spoken and written English • Preference shall be given to those applicants who have never studied abroad; The supporting documents required: • For 11th grade students: school transcripts of grade 9, 10, 11. • For 12th grade students: school transcripts of grades 9, 10, 11 and Altawjihi transcript for the 1st semester. • Complete and signed Application form • Photo Please apply to: [email protected] Instructions for application are at the website: thehopefund.org/apply/index.html Applications not fully completed or missing supporting documents will not be accepted or considered for review.
