About the Job: In this role you will have the following responsibilities : * Conducting & verifying Heat load Calculations by using Carrier E-20 program * Assisting and providing information to drafting team in order to produce detailed design and drawings * Supervising Mechanical jobs based on shop drawings and specifications * Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports and assessing them against the project schedule * Ensuring the availability of adequate resources (manpower and material) for the execution of assigned job * Providing input to Quantity Surveyor for interim payment applications * Coordinating with civil / electrical and mechanical work * Conducting safety tool box lecture to enforce safety regulations for individuals on the site * Raising inspection requests for work completed * Ensuring work is executed according to contract specifications, approved design drawings, agreed procedures, and method statements * Implementing strict adherence to safety rules and regulations * Reducing the wastage of material and increase manpower productivity * Interacting with clients and consultant regarding the status of work * Completing necessary quality assurance documentation of work under direct control * Negotiating with clients and consultants for obtaining approvals for requested modifications * Updating drawings to fit newly approved modifications for As-Built drawings * Checking all installations in preliminary stage * Authorizing testing and commissioning of mechanical installations Job Details Date Posted: 2013-06-06 Job Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Job Role: Engineering Company Industry: Engineering Preferred Candidate Career Level: Management Gender: Male Apply Now - Jobs in UAE - Search All Jobs
