He was greatly remembered as a pionee , Leader in the Indian independence movement & described as a pillar of extremist nationalism in India. Lala ji was heading a protest against Simon commission in which superintendent of police, James A. Scott, ordered the police to lathi charge. Despite being injured, lalaji addressed the crowd and said that I declare that the blows struck at me today will be the last nails in the coffin of British rule in India. He should learn to lead in a nourishing manner, should be Gentle and shoid not Dominate nor should be Coerce. (8).
