আমি বুঝিনা মানুষজন কোথা থেকে Humanities এর subject গুলা নিয়ে বিচিত্র ধারণা পায়। For example, some people think that the students of Humanities dont get to learn any good subject, they dont need to keep knowledge of subjects like maths, biology or chemistry. Some even say directly ও Humanities এর student? তাইলে ওর তো খুব বেশী পড়তে হয় না.. (Heck my sis once commented something like that but ধারণা পাল্টাইসে) I really dont understand where do people get these ideas. A student of Humanities has to keep basic knowledge of everything..they have to know about Chemistry for Geography, they have to know about Biology and Statistics for Psychology, they have to do Algebras and Geometry for studying Economics..still think they dont have much to study? HCC er Afrin miss once said something like this, তোমরা না পারলে Science, Commerce এর student রা চাকরি পাবে না। বাংলাদেশের doctor, engineer এর দরকার না..দরকার ভালো sociologist, psychologist দের। মুক্তিযুদ্ধের পর ওসব traumatized মানুষদের consulting এর জন্য কেউ ছিল না দেখে দেশের উন্নতির এই অবস্থা। She was so right.
