ஹிஜாப் Hijab பழைய பைபிள்(Old Testament) , புதிய பைபிள்(New Testament)இரண்டிலும் இதனைக் காணலாம் . The Book of Genesis, [24:64, 65] says: “Rebekah also looked up and saw Isaac. She got down from her camel and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” “He is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself.” The fifth song of the Songs of Solomon, a woman says: “Tell me, you whom I love, where you graze your flock and where you rest your sheep at midday. Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your friends?” (நபியே!) முஃமின்களான ஆடவர்களுக்கும் இன்னும் முஃமினான பெண்களுக்கும் நீர் கூறுவீராக: அவர்கள் தங்கள் பார்வைகளைத் தாழ்த்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். தங்கள் வெட்கத்தலங்களைப் பேணிக்காத்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டும். அது அவர்களுக்கு மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானதாகும்.(அல்குர்ஆன்-24:30)
