අද දහවලේ මා ලෝක වෙළඳ මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ පහත මාලයේ බොජුන් හලේ සිටිද්දී, එහි පැමිණි මහත්වරුන් කණ්ඩායමක් අතර පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී, කැබිනට් අමාත්‍ය කබීර් හෂීම් මහතාත් සිටියා..ඉතාම සාමාන්‍ය ලෙස පෝලිමේ ගිහින් තමන්ගේ කෑම වේල මිලට ගත් ඒ මහතා, ඉඩ ඇති තැනක් බලා, තම පිරිස සමග ගිහින් ඉඳගෙන, නිදහසේ කෑම ගත්තා. ඒ කණ්ඩායමේ පෞද්ගලික ආරක්ෂකයන් ආදී කිසිවෙක් හිටියේ නැහැ. (මේ දසුන ඉතාම සුන්දර වූ නිසා මට මගේ ජංගම දුරකථනයේ කැමරාව ක්‍රියා නොකර ඉන්න බැරි වුණා!). ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අප දකින්නට බලාපොරොත්තු වන දේශපාලන සංස්කෘතිය මේ නොවේද? ඔබට මගේ ආචාරය, මහතාණනි! As I was having a small meal today at WTC, there came in a group of gentlemen for lunch, including Mr Kabir Hashim, MP. It was very pleasant to see a cabinet minister, buying his food standing in the queue and having lunch in the midst of people, not surrounded by body guards and all. (I was overwhelmed by seeing that and therefore couldnt resist clicking my phone!). This is the culture we want to see in Sri Lanka. Hats off to you, Sir!
