งานกฐิน ๒ วัด ที่เมืองย่างกุ้ง พม่า About the 2 Katin Ceremonies in Myanmar, please allow me to copy the Thai Ambassador’s Message for October 2013 for information as follows: October marks the end of the Buddhist Lent, or Thadingyut, when all devout Buddhists in Myanmar will make merits on the full moon day. Afterwards, the annual Kathina season will begin. For this year, the Royal Kathina Robes from H.M. King Bhumibol of Thailand will be offered to Mettawadi Monastery in Yangon, as proposed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Myanmar. The Royal Kathina Robe offering ceremony will be held on 27 October 2013, during which contribution in cash and in kind will be donated to Mettawadi Monastery, which also serves as monastic education centre and orphanage, looking after more than 400 children. The other Kathina robe offering ceremony will be organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the Thailand-Myanmar Association for Friendship on 26 October 2013 at the Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Monastery. During these religious functions, there will be mobile unit to provide medical services and mobile hair salon to provide haircut, free of charge, to the needy Myanmar people. We welcome all support from friends of Thailand to ensure that these disadvantaged people, particularly children, will be given the care and opportunity they deserve to live with dignity. Your attendance alone will provide necessary moral support to us and to them. I wish to take this opportunity to invite the Thai community and all our friends of Thailand to join these two religious ceremonies. Looking forward to seeing you all. ------------------------- ขอน้อมบุญที่ไปเก็บเกี่ยวที่พม่ามาฝากทุกท่านจากการทอดกฐิน ๒ วัด ที่พม่า นะคะ ๑. วัดมิตรภาพไทย-พม่า วันเสาร์ที่ ๒๖ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๖ ๒. กฐินพระราชทาน ที่วัดมิตาวดี วันอาทิตย์ที่ ๒๗ ตุลาคม ๒๕๕๖ มีหน่วยแพทย์เคลื่อนที่ โดยโรงพยาบาล กรุงเทพ มาบริการตรวจคนไข้ พระ สามเณร และชาวบ้าน มีบริการตัดผมฟรีด้วยค่ะ เป็นที่ชื่นชอบกันมาก ขออนุโมทนา สาธุ กับทางโรงพยาบาล กรุงเทพ และ ร้านทำผมผม Tony Tun Tun คนพม่าที่เคยอยู่เมืองไทย มาณ.ที่นี้ค่ะ ในโอกาสนี้ ก่อนพิธีกฐินจะเริ่มขึ้น คณะโดยท่านฑูต และภรรยา รวมทั้ง นายกสมาคม ไทย-พม่า เพื่อมิตรภาพ และกรรมการ ได้ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพบวชเณร ๕๐ รูป เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวค่ะ (see more photos)
