The thought that some people go to a breeder for their new best friend is absolutely astounding when you consider the number of exquisite dogs available for adoption in shelters. Right now the Brooklyn ACC is packed with wonderful dogs, each more tempting than the last. Take 2-year old Laigar for example: isn’t she stunning? You really have to see Laigar in person to appreciate her gorgeous, mottled coloring. We saved the best part for last in that Laigar is a sweet sugar plum who is recommended for even an average family that isn’t experienced in handling dogs. Laigar’s just such a remarkably good girl. Laigar’s beautiful eyes are straining in search of her beloved family that decided to move without her. We think Laigar will be better off with a devoted family but that can only happen if she’s adopted before tomorrow afternoon. The shelter is going to kill Laigar if she’s still there tomorrow. Won’t you be the hero who turns those frightened eyes to warmth and joy. Laigar needs you desperately tonight.
