ღ҉ღ JACKIE ღ҉ღ A1015283 HER STORY WILL MAKE YOU WEEP * INJURED SENIOR LAB RET BETRAYED BY HER OWNER * Just a few short days ago, 15 year old Jackie arrived at Brooklyn ACC as a stray. Problem is that poor Jackie couldn’t walk because of severe injuries—clearly she didn’t wander away. And whoever had her put some sort of wrap around one of her back legs. And what were her injuries—well, a clue might be that she was found to have “Severe roadrash, excoriations, abrasions and lacerations.”—maybe hit by car? She’s in absolute awful shape with open wounds and at least one fractured leg that may need amputation. But her stray period is up, no one has come for her so ACC’s plan is to euthanize her tomorrow. Tonight, needs someone to take her to a good vet asap. She’ll need what will likely be costly vet care if she is to survive. And then she’ll need a safe, caring home in which to recover. So start pledging to rescues to defray the cost. And if you are in a position to take what is described as a loving, sweet senior girl, then start working on fostering or adopting Jackie. But all this has to happen tonight—and at 15, Jackie should not end her life in a strange, scary place; in pain, feeling lost and abandoned.
