———To all members, my brother Philip Gage has asked a good question concerning Mary and the others at the tomb of Jesus, on the Sunday morning (which Sunday is the day of worship, should anyone want evidence, I can give it to you) after Jesus resurrection (which I can also prove, by scripture, that Jesus was crucified on Wednesday and died, and was buried at 6pm, and then He was in the grave until Saturday at 6pm, the three days and three nights — truth). In that it seems that the accounts dont line up within the KJB, which they do, and I will show here that they do. Read on if you are interested.... To Phillip Gage.... Hi Philip, this problem text of the resurrection morning will take a little more consideration based in the simple problem that most Christians have with the Bible, the KJB. That is that they dont read the plain words of the text. Ive done it myself. The second problem we all suffer with is waiting upon the Lord for the answer, and sometimes, God takes 30 years to answer. Usually because He is not trying to keep the truth from us, but that we are not humble enough to receive or not ready. When we build something, it goes in a particular order. God is building us spiritually, and there is a certain order He uses that we know not of. Additionally, the ones that dont believe in Gods word, will cast doubt upon it, but the ones that do believe it, by faith, find the truth within it, and no other place on earth, or in the heavens, therefore, wait upon the Lord, showing that their faith is in no other person, place, or thing. This seemingly true problem in these texts we will be looking at today is as the problem texts of Judas suicide. They seem to contradict, but again, they dont (I could show the truth of this to you sometime if you dont see the order of events correctly in that text either?). God wrote the Bible, the KJB, very different from anything that has come through the mind of Gods holy men for one reason... to separate the Christian from the tare. Tares will lose faith in the text, the KJB, but the true Christian waits upon God to open the scriptures to him. To show him the true there. Now to you question.... —Philips question: Why are the accounts of the morning of the resurrection different in the gospels? Stone was located in different places, different numbers of people/angels present/conditions within the tomb (how many angels, etc.) I have studied it enough to know that something is wrong with the accounts? They dont line up. What am I missing here? My faith is unshakeable as I hear the still small voice....but I cant help but ask a question and finally get this answered. Thank you and God bless. Craigs answer: So the main problem is that you dont see that the texts dont line up, the number of angels, the stones position, etc. Which I will answer. First lets list the texts involved: Matt. 28:1-4, 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. Mk. 16:1-5 1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. Lk. 24 1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: Jn. 20:1-12 1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. 4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. 10Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. 11 ¶ But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, 12And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. ———Now, lets look at this chronologically... —First, the earthquake, the Roman soldiers faint and become and stay as dead men, the stone is rolled back, and the angel sat upon it (first angel Matthew 28 text). ——Second, then Mary Magdelene entered the tomb and saw the second angel sitting on the right side (second angel, Mark 16 text). ———Third, two angels standing there (two angels, Luke text), which the other two texts make it clear that the there was two angels, and its clear by these — now — three texts of: Matt., Mk., and Lk. Further, to prove to the people present that the two angels — ARE ANGELS (one sitting on the stone and the other sitting next to where Jesus was laid), THEY BOTH reappeared next to the women (the two men stood by them in shining garments). Angels, as Jesus, are not subject to getting up and walking somewhere. They can do so, but here they did not. Its clear. Finally, for even further consideration, why couldnt there be FOUR ANGELS? One on the stone, one at the right side and two appeared by them. God has millions of them, and there are times four angels appear together.... There is the mention of four angels in scripture (Rev 7:1-2, 9:14-15) moving about during the Tribulation. So, why not here? I dont know if anyone has even considered this viewpoint of mine? But it doesnt violant scripture, and surely could be possible. Think about it if you were there.... You see an angel on the stone, then the angel on the right side (both in shining apparel), and then two more appear right next to you? Wow, what a show stopper! ————Fourth, NOW, MARY LEAVES in the John text: Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple and then RETURNS. This is NOT at the time of when the women came to the tomb, the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week but at the time of she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple and has NOW RETURNED with the disciples. Now it should be noted: that the SOLDIERS are still as dead men for they surely would have stopped Peter and John. This would have been, at the least, fifteen minutes (I just thought I would throw that in there). THEN Mary sees the angels again, one at each end of where Jesus had laid, and THEN, as Mary leaves, Jesus appears to Mary. Conclusion, it all fits perfectly. We cant beat the word of God. My prayer, Father of Glory, please continue to open the scriptures to us. We hunger and thirst after Your righteousness that comes to us by Your Spirit and Son! Well, Philip, I hope this helps? Anymore questions, please ask away. And anyone reading this please asked away. The word of God answers for Itself, I am nothing.
