The Motivation and Purpose of Study the Law. Be honest, I will not to be a lawyer, judge or prosecutors one day. I want to be an entertainment industrial agent or a film producer. Therefore, I am preparing to work abroad some day. I already have a bachelor and a master (almost) degree in Film production and Media design field. Now I want to study the law, especially in intellectual property, business law (international) or entertainment law of the American based on several reason. Firstly, most students of film major do not understand the law or the policy. They familiar with the film or drama theory, only those knowledge and technology are not enough to complete a film. They need law to protect themselves and executive the film production. In recent days, a young director, 錢人豪 been blackmailed over 20,000 NTD for the shooting location fee. If the producer knew about the law before, they won’t get involve this situation. Thus if I finish your program, I would like build a bridge to connect the law and entertainment business. Second, though I complete the master degree training in the Asia University, but I still feel it is not enough for me. If I am part of your school student, I will continue learning English, especially in legal term. I want to know about the blue book citation system, I was trying did it by myself, but it is not an easy for an amateur. Moreover, if I may, I would like writing thesis in English to be a globalized employee. Besides that, I would like to enhance the ability of logical. My thesis is creation writing of screenplay, I have to confess the organizational skill of me is not as good as other subject majors. I admire the law school’s speculative philosophy. This is why I want study the law to better the logic. I would like take the famous super-agent, Scott Boras of the United States as a role model. He was a MLB player but after he injured, he return to the McGeorge School of Law, in the end he got a degree in Juris Doctor in 1982. Now He rules the sport entertainment field over 30 years. I wish I can take his path by your school’s well education, I believe it would be where I belong, this is why I want to apply your law school.
