東海大學, Tunghai University On 13th of August, a friend of mine in Taiwan Dr Loy brought us to this university which is located in Taichung city. We entered the campus from a side entrance where we had to take a few minutes of walk through a pine garden before we reached the campus compound. Trees around us were all more than 20ft tall, we were shaded from summer heat, birds were singing high at the trees from everywhere in the wood. Each of the place of the campus we passed by, there were all surrounded by the trees and glass fields. Nice air and windy during this summer walk. Tunghai University is one of a famous universities in Taiwan. A truly green campus that I have ever visited before. Kang Kee, proud of your son. The fist picture is a Church which is a symbolic landmark of the school. American Vice-President Richard Nixon presided the ground breaking ceremony in Nov 11, 1953.
