Position: Program Associate The Korean Community Center of the East Bay in Oakland, CA seeks two Program Associates to be part of its program team. This position will report to the Community Engagement and Advocacy Manager, and work closely with the Program Coordinator. •Receive incoming phone calls and determine how to best respond to inquiry, either by providing referrals or general information or by scheduling appointments with the Program Coordinator. •Provide excellent customer service to clients when scheduling appointments, receiving fees or donations, coordinating the reception waiting area, or answering general questions. •Coordinate data on all of the program’s clients by collecting client information and entering client information into the SalesForce database system. •Participate in weekly program meetings by collaborating with the program team to develop office procedures and policies, discuss new cases received, and give input on outreach activities. •Obtain Covered CA Educator and Enrollment Counselor Certification (Training will be provided) and provide support in Covered CA Outreach, Education and Enrollment activities •Obtain certificates or accreditation as required to perform program activities(training will be provided) •Provide support in in-take of immigration services •Obtain necessary update from ED and program staff and maintain website up to date •Write and disseminate regular e-newsletter and organizational announcements •Coordinate volunteer and promotora activities Requirements & Qualifications •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Computer proficiency – solid knowledge and skills on Microsoft office suites and willingness to learn database and marketing software applications •Social Media proficiency – solid knowledge and basic technics on social media including YouTube and facebook •Understanding of or desire to learn about social welfare, immigration, and health access/disparity issues in elderly, low-income, or limited English proficiency populations •Highly organized team player •Strong Work Ethics •Flexible to work occasional evening and weekend hours •Sense of humor will help •Fluent in Korean and English, capable to conduct bi-lingual translations Applications To apply, please submit cover letter and resume to [email protected]. Position: Certified Enrollment Counselor Essential Responsibilities: •Obtain Certified Enrollment Counselor Certificate: KCCEB is a Certified Enrollment Entity, and will provide training through Covered CA •Under the supervision of KCCEB’s experienced staff Certified Enrollment Counselors, provide direct enrollment service during open enrollment period, between November 15, 2014 and February 15, 2015 •Required to participate in weekly team meetings and webinars to stay up to date with changes pertaining to enrollment and discuss effective enrollment strategies with other team members •Available to work on demand during open enrollment period at KCCEB’s enrollment locations during and after business hours Qualifications: •Fluency in any Asian languages including the following languages(spoken and written): Korean, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Nepalese, Khmu, Lao, Mien •Should be able to pass fingerprinting and background check Benefits: The work hours will be allocated on need-basis, allowing flexible scheduling and time-managing for the Enrollment Counselors.
