중앙119구조본부 소개 동영상 National 119 Rescue Headquarter Since its foundation in 1995, NRS has been working restlessly at disasters domestic and overseas. Under the direct control by National Emergency Management Agency, the NRS consists of 6 teams with 113 personnel. Noteworthy is that we have Air Rescue team with 3 helicopters which enable us to deploy rapidly to disasters. One of our main mission is to serve as a Korean International Search and Rescue team and the dispatch started from 1997 to Cambodia up until recent Japan earthquake. On behalf of Korean government, the team delivered humanitarian rescue operations for disaster-stricken countries. In 1999 Taiwan earthquake, the team was the only team to rescue a child under a collapsed building, earning many praises and high reputation. rescue.go.kr/
