한국미혼모가족협회는 지난달부터 한달동안 베이비박스를 찾는 엄마를 위한 상담을 베이비박스 앞에서 제공하고 있답니다. for the past month, KUMFA has been offering counseling in front of the babybox for mothers who come in search of the babybox. 협회 네이버카페에서 협회 사무국이 올린 글은 다음과 같습니다 the following is a posting from the KUMFA naver cafe about their babybox counseling: 여러가지 제재와 법적 문제로 인해 햇빛을 가릴 파라솔이나 상담할 수 있는 테이블 조차 없이 온몸으로 골목 찬바람을 맞으며 명함과 책자를 나눠주고 계시지요.뭐 하는 사람들인가? 하며 바라보는 의혹의 시선이나 시끄러워질까 걱정하는 동네분들의 못마땅한 시선도 견뎌내셔야 하구요. 아침마다 두꺼운 옷과 핫팩으로 중무장하며 서로를 격려하고 화이팅하는 모습과 베이비박스를 찾는 엄마와 아기를 보며 안타까워 하는 엄마들의 대화들을 들으면 사뭇 숙연해지곤 합니다. due to various restrictions and legal issues, we cant put even put up a parasol to block the sun or have a table to carry out the consultations. so KUMFA moms are just standing outside in the alley, braving the cold wind and handing out cards and pamphlets, withstanding the suspicious looks of neighborhood people asking, what are those people doing. it is sobering to watch the moms armed each morning with warm clothes and hotpacks for their hands, encouraging each other and seeing their heavy hearts as they watch moms and babies coming to the babybox. 간간히 방송국이나 언론매체에서도 베이비박스를 다녀갑니다. 베이비박스에 대한 정확한 정보를 전달하지 못할 확율이 높은 상태이기에 어떻게든 우리의 주장을 알려주고 싶다는 바램이 있었으나(물론 그 곳을 찾는 엄마들에게 아이를 키울 수 있다는 것도 꼭 알려줘야 하구요.) 현수막 설치를 할 수 없어 고민하던 차에 피켓을 만들어 세워두기로 했습니다. occassionally there are tv or newspaper reporters who come to report on the babybox. since there is a large chance that inaccurate information is being conveyed about the babybox, we wanted to be able to somehow get our viewpoints across (and of course to let moms who come to the babybox that they too can raise their kids) but we arent able to install banners, so instead we decided on making small picket signs to place in the area. (the signs say: 1) KUMFA supports a womans right to raise her child. dont struggle alone. 2) mom, in the whole world, there is no better mom to me than you 3) there is a way to be together. we support a womans right to raise her child.)
