- Call for Submissions - Middle Women Film Festival 2015 Help us cultivate self esteem and promote positive body image by creating solution focused short films that will educate, inspire, and promote social change. Submission Guidelines: Videos are due: February 1st (midnight) Content must be original to you and/or your team Narrative, documentary, investigative reporting, music video, animation, or curated film (film collage) Focus on positive solutions to social issues 3-7 minutes in length Amateur or professional Top films will be determined by a panel of local film connoisseurs, members of the arts community, and creative professionals. Videos will be sorted based on: Topics and themes Production quality Effectiveness, continuity, and clarity of message Audience perception (People’s Choice Award*) Creativity of solutions presented Adherence to submission guidelines Top films will receive recognition and publicity through the premiere in mid-late February (Bellingham, WA) as well as multiple other screenings, features on Middle Women social media and MiddleWomen. *The People’s Choice Award will be awarded to the production team of the top rated film, determined by attendees of the February premiere in Bellingham, WA.
