- today I prayed for the 8 transplant patients and their families. I continued to pray for Brett, Kristin, and the entire Winn family. I again prayed for a peaceful rest for your beautiful soul Broc. For all the lives youve touched in your time here on earth, especially those feeling devastation similar to mine. I asked for you to watch over me, even though I know I didnt have to because you already are. I asked for you to just every now and again let me know youre doing alright..e visit me in my dreams and we can laugh a little (cause Id move heaven and earth right now to hear that laugh again). I prayed for strength because buddy, youre really asking a lot of me here. And finally, I prayed that one day, when its my time, Ill see you again. Ill come running to you, sitting on the tailgate of a big jacked up Ford. Ill probably complain cause I cant get in as usual without a boost. Ill obnoxiously jump in to your arms like always and get the hug of a lifetime. And Ill sit there and sing Chase Rice and Charlie Daniels Band with you until Im blue in the face. And then Ill 2-step all over those clouds because man I bet its beautiful up there. With you looking down how could it not be. I promise Im trying to wipe my tears. Im trying to find a few smiles amongst all the pain. I know if you were here youd never let me be like this, so torn up. Knock it off. Chin up gorgeous is what Id hear, followed by the sound of a crisp, cold one being shoved in my face. Id get a kiss on the forehead and have your big ol shoulder to lean on. Youd start up with a remember the time.... and it would all be ok again. You were always so good at that. I guess Ill just have to rest assured in the fact that my biggest protector is now my guardian angel. I couldnt possibly ask for a better one. Love you Brocoli
