Bethlehem, August 5, 2014 Finally a Ceasefire was achieved today. Follow to my previous circular of July, with regard to the security situation in the Holy Land in general and Bethlehem in specific and after the Gaza war is over, It is my obligation to update you on the current situation. In this respect it is worthwhile to mention that from the start of the war and until today, not even one tourist was subject to any kind of threat or violence , or any tourist group was hindered from visiting any part in the country or completing his itinerary. Tourist groups who visited the country at Ramadan feast were full of joy and did not feel any kind of disaster. No riots were reported, no rockets fell near any touristic or holy sites and were all around Gaza border. Today a ceasefire is adopted and honored by both parties , truce discussion is currently held, no more rockets are launched, security measures are maintained,hoping peace will be achieved. In Bethlehem we can see many groups are coming to the city, and wandering all around the city and Hotels are ready to receive tourists with full capacity.
