03-07-2013 ╚► (JKBOSE) NOTIFICATION ╚► It is notified for the information of al stake holders in general and the students community in particular that the Ministry of Human Resource Development, (MHRD) Govt. of India (GOI), New Delhi, has introduced Central Sector ╚► Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) previously known as National Scholarship Scheme (NSS) for the candidates who have passed their Higher Secondary Part-II ╚► (Class 12th) examination. In this connection, the students who have passed their said examination during the session 2012-13 (Annual 2012 Kashmir Division including winter Zone of Jammu Division and Annual 2013 Summer Zone, Jammu Division) have to apply for the grant of scholarship. Via facebook/jkBoseOfficial ╚► The eligibility criteria for grant of scholarship is above 80th percentile of athe successful candidates. Therefore the candidates who have obtained the fo lowing percentage of marks in 12th examination can apply. ╚► A) General Category = 74% and above. ╚► B) Schedule Caste = 59% and above. Via facebook/jkBoseOfficial ╚► C) Schedule Tribe = 58% and above. ╚► D) OBC/RBA = 63% ╚► Note: (There wil be horizontal y 3% of reservation for physical y chal enged students in all the categories). Via facebook/jkBoseOfficial ╚► a) A candidate should be the permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir State. ╚► b) The overal income of the household should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lacs per annam. ╚► c) The candidate should be pursuing undergraduate courses in any stream within or outside J&K State. The institute where the candidate is pursuing undergraduate Courses must be recognized, from by the concerned competent authority. Via facebook/jkBoseOfficial ╚► The quantum of Scholarship is ╚► Rs. 10,000/- per annum for undergraduate courses and ╚► Rs. 20,000/- for post graduate courses and the selection of candidates shall be strictly as per the merit in respective categories separately for Boys and Girls in the ratio of 1:1. The distribution of scholarship will be granted as per ratio of ╚► 3:2:1 in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams respectively ╚► The break-up of scholarship slots available for different categories is as under.
