03/October/2014 #TheEngraftedWord: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8, KJV). It is very essential for us to know the nature of the adversary we face. The devil is wicked and destructive by nature. It is his nature, he cant help himself. He moves everywhere on the earth looking for someone to destroy. So when you give the devil an opportunity to tamper with your life, he will do it extremely well. A lion looks for a prey to feed on. If the prey cannot outrun the lion, it has apparently set itself up to be breakfast. It is also easy for the predator to attack a prey that is not watchful. So God is saying today, that you should be vigilant, watchful and clear headed. This way you will always run with the speed of the Spirit. You will elude the devil, youll be unstoppable. You wont be destroyed. How do you stay alert and constantly watchful in the Spirit? Be filled with the word of God and live it. Feed yourself with Gods word and stay away from sin. Sin is the devils territory. He has the highest speed there and will always outrun you on that terrain . Learn to always pray in the Spirit. Let speaking in tongues be your lifestyle. That way youll keep your spirit alert. Never let fear take over you. A lions roar doesnt mean it has killed its prey. The things the devil throws at you are shadows. Overcome them. You either flee, freeze or fight at the face of trouble. Fighting is our only option as believers. It is called the good fight of faith. Faith is your tool to enforce victory.
