04-18 /19-2008 When I got home, I had to lie down for a while. I couldn’t sleep...to tired. There were thoughts of you going through my head. When you were young and how we would play together. I thought our touch football. How I would let you run way ahead of me, just to catch-up and pull the rag out of your pocket. Someday I’ll get used to you being gone, but all of our memories will stay here with me. The FBI sent me more papers to fill out over the legal bureaucracy of your International death. I have received your International Terrorism Victims Expense Program [ITVERP] application today. I’ll fill it out tonight after writing to you. 4-19.I tried to fix breakfast for John this morning, but started feeling bad. I just done a microwave thing and off to bed again. I tried to rest, however couldn’t breathe. I decided to try to get something accomplished today and went to the garden. I need to water it anyway. It always makes me feel better to go there, regardless of how bad I feel. After I watered the garden, I found some herb seeds and planted them in a flower box. I could imagine the smell of Rosemary, chives and oregano growing in a window, then I thought; those will be nice to have in a kitchen window. For now, they will stay in the greenhouse. While I was there, I set the tomato plants out to get some fresh air. I had to replant some more, but still have a lot left to fi nish topping out. Nevertheless, I just might take them into Dana’s to sell. Depends on what mine looks like after a week after planting. By the time I got through moving the plants out, I started feeling sick to my stomach. I decided it might be better to let the rest go, for I have done too much for now. We had just got through with lunch, when John’s brother & sister-in-law Rick and Syd drove in the driveway. They came by for a while to see how we were getting along after Ronnie’s death. Rick had some health issues with CHF, as I do. He wanted my opinion, “Rick, the doctor did window on my heart about a year ago. After that, I started working in the garden plus doing some walking.” “Barbara, did you ever have tingling in your feet?” “No, I just had a lot of fluid collecting, and had to watch what I do” “What was that you did when the fluid collected?” “I just stayed off my feet with them propped up. Rick, did you doctor tell you anything?” “He didn’t go into any details. Nevertheless, he didn’t seem to care much.” I had a thought why the doctor didn’t say much, but it wasn’t up to me to do something about it. “All I can say Rick, do what your doctor tells you to do and eat right with exercise. Then is when you will get to feeling better.” He didn’t seem to impressed about what I said, but everyone needs to take care of their self. Our Father gives us the good sense to use, and to listen to Him. It wasn’t long after our talk they left. After they left, I had to go to Matador for some more sinus medicine. I’m feeling so sick that I can’t breathe, always coughing. Maybe it will clear up soon. By the time I got back home, I knew I was going to bed to sleep this cold away. I drove into the drive, when the dogs came out to greet me. They are such a happy group since we started keeping them out more. I remember the day we picked up Jake. We were going through Floydada heading home; when we rounded this corner, he was so tiny and thin. On that busy street, we were afraid he would get ran over. We made turn around and picked him up. The poor thing about to starve to death, I immediately started feeding him some chicken nuggets and whatever I could that he would eat. Since then, he hasn’t missed unless he was sick from eating too much. I can wait until I’m in bed, this cold is getting the better me. If there isn’t relief by Monday, I’ll see the doctor again. 4-20. Here it is Sunday. I didn’t get to hear God’s word today, I had to stayed home from this cold that I have. Ronnie, I want to visit with you but I can’t. I hurt and am coughing all the time, I Hope to get over this soon. Father, You have blessed me in many ways.
