09-02 / John 9:2 / Chaplain Joe And His disciples - TopicsExpress

09-02 / John 9:2 / Chaplain Joe And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. THOUGHT: One of the most asked questions is; “why do bad things happen to good people?” About the best answer I know is to refer to Isaiah 55:9 where the Bible says; “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are my ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “ God has a plan, and His plan is always bigger and better than ours, but when the Disciples saw the blind man they, like us, wanted a logical answer figuring that he or his parents must have sinned to cause the blindness. A lot of times problem arise because of human error. That is, we fail to follow the leading of The Holy Spirit and we get into trouble that God never wanted to happen to us. Remember also, Romans 8:28 promises He will cause all things to work out for our good, if we love Him and follow His commands. So, for those seemingly unanswered questions, always refer to the Bible, in it you will find the strength to walk through the valleys of life. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Thank you for giving us your Word, because in it there is the strength and direction for my life. Give me the wisdom to trust in you when I can’t seem to understand what’s going on. AMEN.
