The fire was smoldering and creeping with rolling material still a concern. The fire was most active in the southern portion. Open flame observed from heavy dead logs within the interior. Relative humidity remains low enough for the fire to remain active, but too high for burning operations to create a clean burn. Warming and drying trends are expected to increase which may cause fire activity to increase. Indirect line construction has been concluded. Operations will begin scaling back in the Denny area to include the closing of the Denny Spike Camp 9/4/13. Work has begun on the Rehab plan. CA-KNF Forks Complex: 35,892 acres, 45% contained. Expected containment 9/15/2013. IMT2 Johnson, NORCAL 2.Smoke levels have significantly diminished. Fire behavior is expected to remain minimal due to increased fine fuel moistures due to cloud cover and higher humidity. ERC values remain near or below the 50th percentile. Demob will continue as resources time out.
