09/28/2014 “Why I am a Christian.” This is the beginning of a new series as titled above. Previous to my conversion to a child of God, two days before my 35th birthday. On Thursday, November 16th, 1967 I may have been considered to be an Atheist wherein I believed only in Evolution and had many reasons why God wasnt in existence. Shortly after my conversion to Christianity Satan tried to pull me back into his persuasion but believing in prayer I asked the Lord Jesus to give me insights to His Creation as in opposition to Evolution and He has ever since given me hundreds of positive reasons to believe in creation rather than evolution. At this point allow me to say that the battle was entirely one of a spiritual nature between God and Satan making me a person only with the quest to know the truth without human philosophies, offering confusion to the equation. Although my past educations has many scientific areas of concern, having worked with physicists, chemists, engineers, farmers and zoologists Jesus used these to put me on the road of understanding with biblical scripture to back up Gods claim to truth. Im not the kind of individual to get complete instruction from sermons but My nature is to investigate and ponder everything Im being told, either from scripture or scientific journals or a combination of all with Gods Holy Spirit guiding my every thought and every step of the way. With approximately 6,500 different religions on this planet Im happy to be a Christian as Christianity isnt a religion but a personal relationship between a loving, caring, graceful and merciful all knowing living God.
