1. After independence there have been very s erious riots in Ahmedabad in 1969, when 1289 muslims were killed. The CM at the time was Hitendra Desai of Congress and Indira Gandhi was the PM. 2. The, in 1985 many small riots took place in Gujarat which lasted for months. At the time Madhav Singh Solanki was the CM and Rajiv Gandhi was the PM. 3. In 1987, again there were riots when the CM was Amarsingh Choudhary. 4. Then in 1990, again there were riots when the CM was Chimanbhai Patel. 5. And, in 1992 there were riots in Gujarat when the CM was Chimanbhai Patel. ****ABOVE 5 MAJOR RIOTS, among many small ones, took place when CONGRESS was in POWER. Will we ever blame them for the riots??? BUT, everybody remembers 2002 riots. Also, there have been NO RIOTS in Gujarat since 2002. And the peace has prevailed. WHY THE HELL ONLY ONE RIOT IS TALKED ABOUT BY CONGRESS WHILE FORGETTING ALL THE OTHER THAT OCCURRED DURING THEIR OWN REGIME..................!!
