1 Corinthians 10:31-33 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you - TopicsExpress

1 Corinthians 10:31-33 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. Avoid giving offense, whether to Jews or Greeks or the Church of God, just as I try to please everyone in everyway, not seeking my own benefit but that of the many, that they may be saved. More often than not, when we’re invited in a community that the church builds or asked by loved ones/friends to go to the church, we basically respond, “I’m not fitted in there. I might just burst into flames,” overlooking the reality that the church/community is not an institution for the holy but a hospital for the sinners. In effect, the values that our parents taught since childhood have been coated by the influence of the world because it’s already the world that manipulates our minds and our hearts conquering the natural “YOU” and ‘I” which breaks that concept of family To have a balanced standard of living, what is your immediate response when you are invited by your friends/classmates/loved ones to attend the mass/church spiritual formation? Is it a creative fabricated excuse to indirectly reject the invitation or a favorable yes to explore what lies beyond? What is it that holds you back to say “YES”?
