1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. How can I apply this to my life? The context of the scripture depicts that if any given thing, in any given category is done right, with integrity and according to the word of God, it can be done to the glory of God. In this particular case in 1 Corinthians even eating can be done to the glory of God. If eating can be done to the glory of God, then what else can? Perhaps your studying can be done to the glory of God, or your job can be done to the glory of God. It reminds me of Martin Luther Kings quote.... “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as a Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.” Prayer: God I pray that my actions at home and at work may be found to glorify You. Allow my thoughts and my heart to be found to glorify You. You have confirmed in my prayer that if I do it to glorify you, I have less to complain about. Its all for you. -DWC Selah #wordoflifequiettime, #morningdevotion
