1 Peter 2: 21-23 was our text for tonights divine service. Our message was: we should take Jesus as an example when it comes to suffering. Jesus had to endure pain, betrayal and injustice. Not once did He hold it against His tormentors. Even on the cross He asked His Father to forgive them, for they know not what they do. And us, what do we do when we are tormented, sometimes even for our faith?. Do we become judgemental? Do we condemn and want to take revenge? No, we want to be like Jesus and follow His example. This will make us spiritually strong and ready to receive Him on His return. Continue to spread the love to those close to us and our neighbour. I wish you a pleasant evening ahead and a comfortable nights rest. Good night, sleep tight and may the Heavenly Angels cast their protective wings over us throughout this long night.
