1) Product Architect – No of positions: 1 eG Innovations is looking for a Product Architect for its enterprise performance management product suite. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring that eG Innovations products delivered to the field meet the functionality and performance expectations of customers. The product architect is expected to interface with the product development team and coordinate product plans, schedules and delivery. He/she will also interface with the professional services teams in the different regions, determine new customizations that may be required in the product, identify modifications necessary in the eG product suite to meet the customer requirements and ensure their timely and proper implementation. Primary Duties / Responsibilities: • Be responsible for all aspects of product delivery to customers including functionality, performance, scalability • Be responsible for new functionality delivery, bug fixes and patches as required by customers • Coordinate with the product team leads for new customizations / enhancements requested by customers. Must be able to do high level designs and follow up with low level designs and code if required. • Constantly look for ways to improve the efficiency and output of the development team • Understand latest technology developments and ensure their adoption • Participate in customer engagements of different types (demos, POCs. Etc.) and based on this experience identify areas to improve the company’s products Qualifications and Requirements • 15 to 20 years of software programming experience • Very strong expertise in Java technologies including Core Java, Java threading, Synchronization concepts, JSPs and Servlets, Java database programming concepts, service oriented architectures and web services • Hands on experience with live Java/J2EE-based projects, ideally on production environments; • Must have recent/ proven experiences as a software architect (i.e. system design, performance tuning, and system prototyping); • Understanding/experience with front-end technologies is a plus (JQuery, HTML5, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, XML/JSON) • Must be hands on and willing to get his hands dirty to meet deadlines and ensure high quality output • Must have a sound experience on performance and scalability of Java applications • Must have excellent problem diagnosis skills as it pertains to web application development • Must be willing to put in the necessary hours to get the problems solved without needing additional supervision or hand holding • International work exposure is a plus • Experience working on Java-based product technologies is a plus • Experience working on Windows and Unix environments is a plus • Excellent communication skills and ability to make good presentations • Should be able to manage a team of experience project leads with 10+ years of Java and web development experience. Note: a) Candidate should have worked on new product development/projects and not just have experience running Maintenance contracts b) You can target companies like Symphony in Bangalore or Solar Winds or Zoho in Madras or Calsoft in Pune. c) ODCs of foreign product development companies like BMC, CA, IBM, HP etc. will be a good source Ctc: 20 to 30 L
