1. When my parents were young and had very little money, my father had a present for my mom gift wrapped. It was a lovely box, too pretty to throw out, and so they used it the next Christmas. And the one after that. And the one after that. The box is now.....I dont know, well over 65 years old, and each year someone gets THE BOX. At this point, the recipient probably has to be careful not to breathe too hard on it. It is a great honor to get that box. I think each year, everyone is jealous of the person who got it. 2. On my mothers Christmas tree, every year, is the light bulb my sister used to make a Santa out of when was in kindergarten. And every year, I am not satisfied until I find it. When I do, something relaxes inside. 3. After we opened our gifts, we used to leave them under the tree for a day. One year, we went to midnight mass and when we came home our poodle had eaten the cheese assortment my parents had gotten. That dog probably was so grateful to the Catholic church. And you?
