10-MARCH-14 TODAY WITH SAM~ GODS VOICE IN YOUR SPIRIT But he who is joined to the Lord is ONE SPIRIT WITH HIM (1Cor. 6:17). Paying Attention To The Wrong Direction Many believers think that God doesnt speak to them personally mostly because theyre looking the wrong direction. You see, don’t try to be God’s teacher, remain His student. You shouldn’t go trying to teach God or choose for Him on how He should speak to you. Instead, learn how to discern the way that He speaks. Hey God, Can You Get External Please? God is on their inside but many wants Him to get external. Hes a Spirit but they want Him to be a mind or physical body. He imparts His will in the form of knowing or intuition to the believers spirit and so, they just know that they know that they know without being able to explain how. Ever got into a trouble and say Oh, I just knew it? How did you know it wasnt the right decision to take? Well, God revealed that knowledge to your spirit but you chose to go ahead and follow your brain. Supernatural Or Spectacular? We often miss the supernatural while waiting for the spectacular. God doesnt lead us in the brain; He does so in the spirit. He lets His will be known to our heart or spirit but many still wants something more spectacular. God does speak in spectacular ways but thats rare, thats not the dominant way that He speaks. The dominant way He communicates His guidance to us is simply through the inward being or heart. The simple ways of God leading us through witnessing in our heart in agreement or disagreement is supernatural. Youre One Indivisible Spirit With The Lord The Bible says that whoever is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Since youre one with Him, His voice isnt going to be like a third person thing, its going to be like you talking to you but youve got to discern the difference by checking it with the Word. God doesnt talk to your head; He talks to your heart or spirit. God is a Spirit and He talks to you Spirit to spirit (John 4:24). The Holy Spirit and your spirit are united as one and are inseparable, so, you can follow that inward being (1Cor.6:17), that is, the direction of your heart or spirit as it always lines up with the Word of God. Separating the Soul From The Spirit Spend time in the Word to separate your fleshly desires from your spirits desire, the more you take time in the Word and delight yourself in God, the more fleshly desires will fade off and spiritual ones will build stronger (Heb.4:12). If that desire is of God, it will only grow stronger as you renew your mind in the Word and minister unto the Lord in prayers and worship, but if it of your mind or flesh, it will fade gradually as you spend time in the Word and pray. God Leads With Peace On The Inside Prove your direction with peace, love, joy, patience and all those spiritual fruits (Gal. 5:22-23). Peace is a strong proof of walking in Gods plan for your life and lack of it signals danger, it means to check your track. Confusion indicates lack of peace but God isnt the author of confusion but of peace (1Cor. 14:33). When you have a desire to go in a certain direction and youre contemplating on whether or not to go, Gods consent will come peacefully in your heart. It will be like a gentle thought or voice, complying that He wants you to go. Gods Disapproval On the other hand, when God doesnt want you in a certain direction, He reveals His disapproval to your heart or spirit and that ceases your peace on the inside. Some would interpret that as I just dont feel right about it. That’s not just some funny physical feelings but an inward knowing stirred by God to signal danger or disapproval. When God doesnt want you to take a certain step, right there in your heart or human spirit, you will begin to lose your peace and have uneasy feelings. The believer can always know the will of God by following the Bible and the inward signals of the Holy Spirit in their spirit. God leads with peace, not the lack of it! PEACE!
