10 Signs Someone May Be Going Facebook Crazy (which subsequently may be real life crazy with computer access) 1. They change their name frequently or NEVER go by their government. Are “the People” after them? 2. They post music. Not new albums for exposure but old songs that are only relevant to them in their head space. 3. Very small time span between posts. None of them are related and you’re not watching some TV show with FB means your brain just did that on its own. 4. Posting about TV shows on a regular basis. You’re lonely, maybe not crazy, but eventually another voice may come join you that isn’t from the computer. 5. Multiple posts without a response or support from friends. When your actual friends don’t have the energy to keep up with your commentary it may be because you’re ALL ALONE this time. 6. Non-specific references to people and situations giving you problems in your life. At least it’s a passive cry for help. You have that going for you. 7. Mentioning God as if you’re having a conversation with Him that is between the two of you. Maybe you are, maybe you aren’t…either way He doesn’t need you to post it on FB for it to be real. 8. Your posts don’t make any sense to anyone. Language and grammar barriers aside you can tell if someone skipped English class or they skipped the Zoloft. 9. Picture selections. Extreme close-ups, same eerie smile on every pic, pics of random things when you’re not a photographer, no pictures of you ever, a pic of a scantily clad 18 yr old that clearly isn’t you…all give off a creepy vibe. 10. Excessive Selfies or Profile Pic Changes. Narcissism is normally symptomatic of a greater issue. In and of itself it can be a functional dilemma but left unchecked before you know it you’re the crackhead on Peachtree who KNOWS she’s fly. 1-3 of these can be idiosyncratic and therefore understandable. If you fit 4-5 of these I’d be concerned. If you have a friend who fits more than 5 it may be time for an intervention because they probably could read this and still not realize that it is them. Thanks for reading.
