10 Things You Dont Know About Me: 1. I try to write sincere songs, but its really difficult for me to express myself honestly, so I write about being drunk or talk about my weiner. Then I dont have to feel vulnerable. 2. I really like cheesy pop music. I like to analyze everything from the beat, the singers voice, the emptiness of the lyrics. These things fascinate me. 3. I was terribly awkward as a kid and a teenager. My buck teeth really made me feel like an outcast and not good looking at all. Now I embrace my not-good-lookingness. And Im thankful I wasnt that pretty because it made me quick on my feet and witty. 4. I believe in God, but I dont believe in religion. I think religion can be a tool for good, but when I was young it was mostly used to instill me with fear, self-loathing, and guilt. It took me a long time to come to terms with that. I believe there is something bigger than us, but I dont know what it is, and I dont pretend I understand it. 5. I lost my virginity at a very early age, and to a woman in her 30s. It was painfully awkward, and I didnt know how to process it. She was a waitress at the place where I worked. Every time I kiss a girl who tastes of Jack Daniels and cigarettes I remember her face. 6. I cry sometimes when I think about my son. I love him so much that it overwhelms me. I seriously thought I would be dead by now, but when I first saw his face it changed my heart, completely. 7. I love seeing people in love. 8. I love my family and friends beyond belief, and when I see them succeed in creating something or doing something they love I get really excited. Its the reason I like the Facebook so much. I get to stay connected with folks albeit in this weird alternate universe. 9. I love trucks, but I really dont like truckers. (Not all of them. There are good truckers out there, like Kyle Power) 10. I read poetry. I read a lot of poetry. I really enjoy the power of the written word. And I love the brevity and power of a well written poem..
