10 Useless Things People Didnt Know About Me: 1) I was born in California, and lived in Manhattan during my formative years. 2) My first concert experience was at The Radio City Music Hall, seeing A Flock of Seagulls. (The Fixx opened). 2a) My second concert experience was Weird Al Yankovic. 3) I have a chess trophy; My team was first place in the NY State Regionals (which was in Syracuse, some hundreds of miles away). We slept in a tent, off the highway, behind a giant statue of the Virgin Mary, because it was April and no campgrounds were open yet. 4) Going to high school (in Brooklyn), I had been mugged no less than five times. In one instance I haggled with the hoodlums and got my wallet back, coz I wanted my library card. 5) I am a pretty good cook. If I wasnt, there would be a chance Id still be single. 6) For three years, I had marched in the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade as a clown. The first time they wanted me to be Theodore (of the Chipmunks), but I chickened out because I wasnt trained for that. Good thing. I marched with the Muppet bus (The Muppet Movie) and saw Jim Henson up close. 7) Had obtained the autographs of both Gene Hackman and country sensation Anne Murray. Lost them too. 8) Had a piece of plaster from the Berlin Wall. Lost that too. 9) I had led a Bible Study in my public high school; actually, set it up so that there were three Bible Study times, 7:15 am, 8:00 am, and after school. Interestingly, I had the highest GPA that year, and made it into the honors club. 10) I didnt learn to drive until I became of age to drink. The bouncers did not accept birth certificates as proof of age.
