10 years of wrestling and 10 years of attending and wrestling in the Ray-Pec Open Tournament; we have seen our good weekends and not so good at this tournament, and today was the last time. Mostly awesome weekends against great competition, which this tournament is known for. Days at this tournament where they drag on for ever. Years where we fight threw a full 64 man bracket and make big comebacks (3 years). Years of making great life long friends (both Blake and myself). Several years of big accomplishment and honestly only one year of not placing. The years of the fire alarms going off, which we made it threw, even when it went off during one of his championship matches. Years of bad refs and years of close calls and comeback wins. Years of warming up in the hallway and staking our spot in the cafeteria. Years of wrestling on quarter size mats and always looking forward to the the next year. Years of wrestling a tough wrestler and coming out not so good...but defeating them at the state championship. Ray-Pec Tournaments we will never for get........ Blake Pomajzl placed first today in his last time at this tournament. So very proud of him. He has been threw it all at this tournament (good and bad) and always came out a better young man and wrestler. Proud of you buddy.
