10 years, still no justice. The Hacienda Luisita massacre in the Philippines, during which hundreds of peasants who were picketing for better wages and genuine agrarian reform were brutally dispersed by state forces, resulting in 14 killed and hundreds injured. Hacienda Luisita is a massive estate owned by the Cojuangco family, which President Noynoy Aquino belongs to, who have promised to give back the land to the peasants but have consistently broken that promise. Since then the struggle for justice for those killed and genuine agrarian reform remains stronger than ever. We will never forget.
