#100HappyDays - Day 52 - Thomas Was Alone. A minimalist game about friendship and jumping. I recently replayed this in preparation to write about it on the matter of interactive art for a college class. Its a fun little indie game that you can find on most platforms and probably in an indie bundle if youre patient. The puzzles are more about critical thinking than lightning reflexes, so most people should be able to see it through to the end. What I really like about it is that while it has a few seconds of narration every few levels and a classy soundtrack, a majority of the characterization is done not with cutscenes or dialogue but by clever level design. You get a feel for the personalities of these little quadrilaterals just by the way the shape of the levels and their various abilities require them to move around each other. Which ones always seem to travel together, which ones are always getting in the way, which ones are always getting stepped on, that sort of thing. Great way to kick back after a grungy day and dust off your brain for some relaxing puzzling with charming ambiance. destructoid//ul/247168-aaheader.jpg mikebithellgames/thomaswasalone/
