105.9 SEASIDE-FM Special Weather Statement - A low pressure system will approach the region on Tuesday and then track south of Nova Scotia on Wednesday. Rain associated with this system will move into Western Nova Scotia Tuesday morning and then reach Cape Breton by evening. The rain will be heavy at times and will persist into Wednesday. Current indications suggest that the rainfall amounts may reach warning criteria and that would be especially so for areas of Southwestern Nova Scotia. The worrisome issue is that the ground is already quite saturated from the remnants of tropical storm Andrea and other recent rainfall events. The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
