10am, Dewan Sri Pinang: EC officer Annuar Yahya announces close of nominations at 10am. So far its five corner fight for the Bukit Gelugor parliamentary seat as five candidates have submitted their nomination papers even before the nomination closes at 10am. Those who have submitted their forms are DAPs Ramkarpal Singh,Parti Cinta Malaysia vice-president Huan Cheng Guan, independent candidates Mohamed Nabi Bux, Abu Backer Sidek Mohammad Zan and Lim Chee Khoon. Earlier, Election Commission chief Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof was expecting several independent candidates. Questions abound as who is the BN appointed candidate since Prime Minister and BN national chief said the coalition was mulling sending one to the Bukit Gelugor by-election.
