11 years ago, I confided in someone that I was going through postnatal depression, which hit me like a freight train after a long painful sleepless pregnancy. With tears running down my face this person said they didnt understand what I was going through and didnt believe in postnatal depression. I was made feel weak and was ashamed for a very long time, not wanting anyone to know. I just wonder after all these years if that person understands now that depression is real. It is not a sign of weakness its a sign that you have become tied trying to remain strong. Robin Williams RIP
