12 years ago today...I saw the first news coverage of the attacks while walking thru the student union at WIU. I had just bought breakfast and was heading to a table. As i walked in, everyone was huddled around an old-school big screen tv, talking on their cell phones. The college cancelled classes soon after. Funny how you can remember every aspect of what you were doing during auch an emotional event. Ask any 60+ year old where they were at the day JFK was assassinated. ..I bet they could still paint a vivid picture.
