12 years ago today, I was lying in bed sleeping after a 16 hr shift at Marion Correctional. My phone rang and a friend told me to turn my TV to local news channel. I heard the most terrible, unbelievable news I have ever heard. It is still hard to believe that there are people who would fly passenger planes into occupied buildings. I am so proud to be an American and of the way we pulled together as a nation that day. I am also proud of my two sons, American soldiers, who I love with all my heart and soul. Thank you Josh Schoenen, Allen Schoenen, and all the others I have had the honor and privilege to meet over the last 7 1/2 years for all you do and have done.
