#12939 Lately, Ive become disgusted with society. We are conditioned to conform to the norm; I am just as guilty of this as everyone else. Ive come to realize that a lot of my beliefs werent rational. I believed in things without consideration of whose agenda I am serving. Religion is mass mind control and the greatest scam in the world-- most of us identify ourselves as a religion that damns billions of innocent people in this world. A lot of us were brainwashed as kids and the best part is that we believe our religion is our free will, its not. We justify the murder of other people by our military with just straight bullshit. We support this military unconditionally. Its sad to see us send so many good men(and women) to other places to kill people just like them, yes those filthy Muslims are just like us. Ideas like patriotism are the reasons events like World War I(or any war thereafter) happened. We see other countries as enemies when we should realize that they are people just like us. The truth is the soldiers we love are pawns in a battle between the few. I could go on and on about how our free will is actually an illusion. We think we choose these aspects of our lifestyle: our religion, our values, our goals. Well the sad truth is there is somebody out there who wants you to love what you love because he(or she) benefits from it. I guess the punchline is: question everything. Why do you want to get marrid? Why do you want this particular job? Why do we bow our heads when the national anthem is playing? Open your mind, you will never escape the influences of the agendas of other people, yet that doesnt mean you have to give in to the standards set forth for your behavior. If youre nodding along agreeing with everything Im saying, youre not quite getting the point. If you disagreed with everything I said, Im sorry your mind is so closed-- independent thinking isnt for everyone(yes I realize this is a ironic statement). The way you should be thinking(theres that irony again) is why? You should look to yourself and question your values, reevaluate them. Nothing Ive said should be taken in an oppressive light. Believe what you want to believe, disregard the rest(or all). I hope to see some enlightened comments.
