#12months12days: In November, the Foreign Secretary visited Sierra Leone to see the impact of UK support to #EndEbola in Sierra Leone. He visited Port Loko, one of the areas worst hit by Ebola, and where the UK was building one of the additional five 100-bed treatment centres that will help meet the UK’s commitment to provide 700 treatment beds in Sierra Leone, which is now open. This followed the Defeating Ebola in Sierra Leone Conference - jointly held by the UK and Sierra Leone in October. The UK has contributed £230 million to date to the fight against Ebola. UK military personnel and NHS staff are working to establish more treatment centres in Sierra Leone, providing a total of 700 beds by the end of 2014.
