13 years ago today, I had just completed my first week at Media School. Along with some classmates, we had just completed our first school assignment and we were walking from Tim Hortons to the school, ready to start week two. As we were walking, another school guy, Craig, came running across the street toward us. When he got to us, he was out of breath and gasped out the words A plane flew into the World Trade Centre! We looked at him kind of like he was a little odd, wondering why he hadnt delivered the punch line to what seemed like a comedic set up. After a few minutes of his out of breath attempts to explain; we arrived at school and saw the World changing before our eyes on a TV set. This was our generations JFK; for I will never forget where I was on September 11th, 2001. Thoughts to the families who will always have their loved ones in their hearts and minds. Gratitude to the First Responders who lost their lives trying to save others, and to the ones who survived who will forever have that day burned in their memories. 9/11 is the definition of a day that changed the world.
