14 technicians pool money to win Infiniti Mega Raffle Since the launch of the Dubai Shopping Festival, the DSF Mega Raffles have been delighting several residents and visitors with life changing surprises in the form of luxury cars, gold and cash prizes. The latest to get lucky at DSF is a group of 14 employees of a government entity in Sharjah. For the last few years, the colleagues, who are equally good friends, have been pooling their money to buy DSF raffle coupons but never won. This year they bought four tickets for the Infiniti Mega Raffle and while the first and third ticket did not prove lucky, the second ticket with Abdul Hafeez’s name on it, was picked as the luckiest at the daily draw. Each year, they try their luck with names of different participants, hoping to claim the grand prize. When Abdul Hafeez Abdul Latif received a call from Global Village, he was already half asleep and completely oblivious to the fact that his friends had chosen his name for one of the tickets. “I received a call around 10:52 pm but I did not recognize the number. I did not want to answer it at first because I thought it could be one of those promotional or sales calls. I was also half asleep and wasn’t too bothered to take it. My wife pushed me to accept it anyhow and when I heard someone tell me that I had won the Infiniti Mega Raffle, I was all the more assured that it was a sales call because I had completely forgotten about the raffle. Moreover, I had no clue that my colleagues had put down my name. They hadn’t told me about it,” said Abdul Hafeez.
