14 years ago today, my family and I rolled into Houston. We were broke, scared, wide eyed, and unsure of what the future might hold for us. I was incredibly pissed off at God. I felt like He had failed to hold up His end of the bargain in several areas of my life. I had no idea how He was going to use this city, more specifically, the people of the Greater Houston Area to bless our lives. 14 years and more changes than I can list. We have experienced healing, blessing, heartbreak, trauma, and more healing. God and I and His people are on much better terms now. I still believe I am designed for the mountains. Living with millions of people with millions more streaming in is still the most difficult thing about living here. And I dont have the words to express how grateful I am to God and the people of Houston (most of them any way) for how much better our lives are. To all of you, on our anniversary, I say thank You, Father, and thank you Houston.
