14th August 2014 Glasgow: The 68th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated at the Consulate of Pakistan, Glasgow with national zeal and enthusiasm. A large number of Scotland based Pakistanis from all walks of life attended the ceremony. Scottish Minister for External Affairs and International Development Hamza Yusuf, Deputy Leader of the Scottish Labour Party Anas Sarwar MP ,Rev Peter Gill Minister of the Church of Scotland and other local dignitaries, elected representatives, Councillors, religious leaders, imams and local businessmen also attended the flag hoisting ceremony and the reception hosted by the Consulate that followed.
