15 Jan : With Malice To None Return of Sherlock Holmes My mob rang . I was surprised to see Sherlock Holme’s name flashing on the screen. I answered “ Yes Mr Holmes . Hope you have reached back safe in London after the Sunitha Kushalkar fiasco “ “ Yes I am safely back, But I need your help again, an interesting case Col . I am now hired by Kerala Govt “ “ For whaT” “ Yes I m telling you Col. A very interesting case , I have to get to the bottom, I am hiring Arnab’s words ok, of six Phd theses of the period 81-90 which went missing from Kerala University which includes that of Dr PK Radhakrishnans , the Vice Chancellor. Elemenary Col, as the VC says these theses which are more than 30 years old must definitely be misplaced or displaced somewhere since they are of no use to any one doing research now! But I am bit confused! Why the govt is after these theses ,as per my logic, which never existed and engaging me to find the bottom of those ! Anyway I didnt ask questions, I have taken up the assignment. “Wonderful Mr Holmes, You see you don’t have to bring Dr Watson along & waste money . I am here! If he is Dr I am Col Ok I think my brain is equally sharp . Mr Holmes, you can stay with me in my double room apartment at Vanchiyoor, not to waste money on Hotels “ “ No col, Ty for your offer. I want to stay very close to University Libraray , probably where these never existed theses are said to have been kept . I may require to clandestinely visit the library in the night for which I may need your help , as we, Watson & me, did in the ‘Speckled Band’ case So you please book my stay at South Park which is very Close Ok ; I am reaching tomorrow at 330 afternoon by AirIndia. “OMG! I forgot to tell you I am leaving for Mumbai tomorrow morning . Don’t you worry I will depute my friend Dr PRM Nair, another Nair , he will assist you. He will meet you at the Airport Ok and take care of everything you need, I will brief him in detail. But please don’t ask him about his doctoral thesis! “ “ Thank you Col . I hope my second assignment in India will be fruitful” One more thing Mr Holmes, I will book you in South Park in the name of Dawood Chempu parambil ie David Copperfield ok Other wise these boys & girls from University College opposite will throng the Hotel to see Sherlock Holmes and make your life miserable Ok Please remember David Copperfield Thank You Col “ Bye Mr Homes Gave A good day “
